Moores Homemakers is Bundaberg’s locally owned furniture and bedding store. We have been serving Bundaberg and the surrounding district since 1964, when Kev and Isabel Moore took over Burfords The Homemakers and renamed it Moores The Homemakers.
The original Woondooma Street showroom was 464 square metres. In 1974 the store expanded to about 1,486 square metres with a two-street frontage. Lance and Marcalee Muchow — daughter and son-in-law of Kev and Isabel — took over in 1976. A McLean Street warehouse followed in 1989 so popular furniture and bedding could be held in stock, and the showroom has been regularly upgraded since 1996.
Michael Muchow, the third generation of the Moore/Muchow family, has run Moores since 2003 and became owner in 2013. Through membership of the Homemakers independent buying group, we combine local service with access to leading Australian and international brands — including Furniture Court, Beds R Us, La-Z-Boy and IMG Norway.
The principle has not changed: friendly, personal service from local people who know the range. Come in and let us help you furnish your home.
